The books of the Bible were written at different times by different authors over a period of approximately 1,500 years from around 1400 BC through AD 90. Paul meets Timothy at the beginning of his second missionary journey. On the first missionary journey (A.D. 46 – 48), Paul visits Lystra, a city in central Asia Minor.
