Pubblicato a puntate tra il 1881 e il 1883, il massimo capolavoro italiano per ragazzi, il "Pinocchio: di Collodi, vede la luce in volume nel 1883, conseguendo un successo planetario. La "Storia di un burattino" è qui narrata con accento toscano (cosa che avrebbe fatto piacere allo stesso autore) e con viva partecipazione emotiva. Un classico per ragazzi che non delude mai, e che ci riporta alla mente personaggi indimenticabili, dal babbo Geppetto alla Fata dai capelli turchini, da Mangiafuoco al Gatto e la volpe.
