After two hikers go missing in a snowstorm, Sheriff Eve Wicker is fighting against all odds to bring them to safety. When she gets a phone call from her boss that leaves her rattled. She heads to the office to discuss a past case with Jamison. While the storm brews both outside and in her life, the rescue party amidst the dangerous blizzard leads Eve to a cabin. The hidden cabin is a blood-soaked crime scene, with the dead body of one of the hikers inside. It seems a killer with an axe got to one of them first.
