The Cerberus Cards

It’s Drop Night, the one night every decade when the gods hand out cards to a lucky few. If you get a deck, you’re a deckbearer capable of wondrous feats within the Great Game system. You can control powerful monsters and summon mantles that let you fight alongside your beasts. Ethan Wolfe, top enforcer for the Grimm family mob, has already been overlooked on two previous Drop Nights. People of his ilk seldom receive cards, as the gods tend to favor people who follow their divine mandates, but that doesn’t mean Wolfe can’t hope.

Ethan Wolfe, once the top enforcer for the Grimm Family Mob, has eliminated the Cobras, an infamous street gang, and taken the second card of the Gate to the Underworld set. Unfortunately, Wolfe’s old boss, Big Man Grimm, was slain during the fighting. Damian Grimm is still around, though, and he’s got a bone to pick. He wants Wolfe’s cards, and he’ll do anything to get them. So, Wolfe faked his own death and moved to the nearby town of Joliet, along with his girlfriend, Shel. He thought he could leave the Dark Noimoire underworld behind…

Damian Grimm is dead, Wolfe has his card, and the remnants of the family that once employed Wolfe are in the hands of an ally. But Wolfe’s original charge from Cerberus was not to clean house in the Grimm family...it was to clean house on all the crime families. The Weeds, the Singh family, and the Renfeldt all still nest in the city like ticks, all of whom have grown fat and powerful picking up the pieces of the other families.
