Whisper was the protector of the refugees. Between her and Eliphas, Whisper’s childhood friend and prince, their refuge was the perfect combination of safety. Septimius showed up, crashing into the town center, threatening Whisper’s people, and claiming godhood. When Whisper would not back down, bow, or grovel at his feet, Septimius attempted to kill her, but failed.

The Riviki were set on destroying every last city that could oppose them. Kingdoms were toppled and magical citizens were given two choices. Join the Meggik, the collective group of magical soldiers, or die. When the Riviki burned down the kingdom of Koretti, they forgot to make sure all the royal family was killed. Princess Elysia survived. Partnered with her adopted siblings, Elysia traveled to Rivik, determined to destroy the kingdom or die trying.
