Windsor Heights

The story begins with the family of five living in an urban neighborhood in Riverside, California. Lindsay, the oldest of three children, takes riding lessons from a loud, strict trainer. The Wrights struggle financially to support Lindsay's passion for riding - until a bad accident involving her brother forces her to quit. When Lindsay reveals her wish to have a horse of her very own, she soon realizes that it would take a miracle for their family to ever live somewhere where they could have a horse.

The Wrights have just packed up their little house in the city and are moving to a 40-year-old ranch house on 10 acres of land in the middle of the citrus growing community of Riverside. The country life is just what they've always dreamed of, but can they adjust? Can their animals survive the country?

Windsor Heights has proven to be full of surprises for the Wrights. Lindsay spends most of her time riding her beloved horse, Midnight, while her mom, Lisa, is trying to keep up with her on a young spirited ex-race horse. When Lindsay's dad tries his hand at riding, he quickly realizes that riding can be dangerous.

When Lindsay joins Pony Club with Midnight, a whole new world is opened up. But is Midnight already too old? After a bad trailering experience, Lindsay's dad thinks Midnight should be retired, and Lindsay should move on to their younger horse, Moon. But, will Lindsay be able to handle such a high spirited, defiant horse? Lindsay's friend Penny now has her young filly home, and Midnight can't take his eyes off of her - could it be love?

As Lindsay struggles to improve on her riding skills, Moon, the spirited ex- race horse does not make things easy for her. Will taking lessons with Anne be the key to unlocking Moon's talent? Lisa finds the Gage Canal to be an enticing new source of entertainment for her children. And on a fateful Thanksgiving Day, Lindsay, Jeffrey and Beau receive an unexpected gift. Then, after a devastating accident involving Lindsay's friend Penny, things change.

Dramatic changes in Windsor Heights landscape lead to hungry hawks and hungry coyotes! Beau's friend loses something important; will scent hound Cheyenne's nose save the day? Lindsay and her hard to handle horse, Moon, are on the rocks and in the wake of an accident, an ultimatum is given.

When a friend calls in distress with horse problems, Lindsay can't get there quick enough to help! Lisa made a plan to let Lindsay's trainer, Anne, move her horses to their property - during the rainiest season on record in Riverside; it quickly became an impossible muddy situation.
