This book was very intense. The performance by Joe Arden was probably one of the best performances I have heard in this genre. There is one particular part of the book that is extreamly intense and Joe acted it out amazingly. He brought the character to life. I love how the two narrators talk together.

Please note that this book is very deep and if you struggle with PTSD it will most likely be a very hard book to listen to. It is very well done though. Thank you Maxine Mitchell for a real book that isn't a normal fairy tale with a fued in the middle and then the main characters live happily ever after. Don't get me wrong I love those books as well. But there needs to be books that are "real" as well to bring you back to real life and make you reflect on what you do and don't have.

PTSD and over-the-top make out sessions continue. I don't know how CD Reiss comes up with stories that just keep unfolding and unfolding... there's no end. I can't see the end of the roller coaster... you come down only to go up higher. What a ride I'm on. The way she describes their love through so many challenging situations is unbelievable. Their lives and their love are constantly tested. They are truly unbreakable! When is enough? NEVER!

Love the way the narrators work together in this book... their intensity shows up clearly and its breathtaking. Loved every moment. They did such a wonderful job. Very powerful.

What a powerful series that is written and performed so well. It is definitely worth the listen. I know you will enjoy it. Loved all the characters. If you like intensity... this is for you!

Ok I keep thinking that it could not be worse, but the story did not end. You keep giving us more. And I don’t think my little heart will be able to take it.

The only reason I gave this book 4 stars, is because there's one more book in the series after this one and it's only gettin better!! Im not sure what it was about this series that drew me in so deeply, but I found myself losing sleep just to find out what would happen next.
I'm from a Military Family, so I found many parallels between myself and these characters. I've seen first hand the effect that Military life can have on individuals, whether they're Active Duty, Retired or Military Spouses. The Secrecy, the Cold Hard Facts and the Memories fought hard 2 Forget. It's all so very real and this Series hit correctly on so many different aspects of it!! Kudos 2 the Author!!!
and OMG, the narration is Incredible!! If these two narrators weren't my favorites before this Series, they definitely are now. Joe and Maxine don't just read to you, they BECOME Caden and Greyson and they take what is already a great book, and make it Amazing! I could honestly "FEEL" Cadens pain and Greysons fear. Joe and Maxine made these characters Real and Tangible!!
Definitely worth a credit!! Can't Wait to start on the Last Book, OVER THE EDGE!

I really can not say enough about how thrilling this story is! Each book in this series just gets bettrr and better. The narration is perfect and the story is so gripping. I'm starting book 4 right meow!
