My grumpy dragon boss doesn't want a mate and I don't want him either! In fact, he's the last guy on earth I can see myself with…

Worse: he fires me with no warnings for a totally stupid reason. Rude!

If I thought he was a jerk when I worked for him, that's nothing to the way Kivrayn makes my blood boil now. So I went to work for his biggest rival, looking for my opportunity to have my revenge.

It's like he goes out of his way to make me uncomfortable: glaring at me across a crowded auction room; frequenting my favorite coffee spot. He even turns up on the only date I've had in months and completely ruins it! What a prick!

Only, the more we keep running into each other, the more I start to wonder if the heat in his stare is more than hatred.

When a drunken hate f*ck turns my world upside down, it's time to admit that the fire between us is explosive in the bedroom. But that's hardly a good basis for a relationship, and dragons mate for life. Have I bitten off more than I can chew?

I can't be bound to the grumpiest, bossiest monster I've ever met, for the rest of my life…

I really enjoyed this audiobook. I do wish the MMC was a bit more soft for her. I didn’t like him much compared to the other grumpy bosses in this series.

I like this author’s worlds, but there’s a consistent avoidance of diving into conflict. When issues come up, they fail to find a satisfactory resolution.

Spoiler for this book:
The FMC receives threatening texts at about the third act, including a scene where we are led to believe there is an attempted poisoning. That conflict is never resolved. We never find out who was making the threat. We are made to assume that the MMC resolved it off page.

The author writes steamy scenes, but I’m not sure I’d recommend them to someone who wants more than spice. This is coming across the 5 books from this author I’ve read/listened to across several series.

I very very much enjoyed this series, I hope more to come. Had to listen to each one in one seating. Narrators do a fantastic job bringing characters and the world to life. Will get more as they are released.

Fell in love with this series!!
