Great Narration and Great Story!

It’s sexy, sexy shadow daddy Severin’s turn! So excited to read his and Hannah’s story. It did not disappoint—author Krista Luna N E V E R disappoints.

What a way to start a new series! Ferndale Farms is definitely clearly pictured in my mind—and what a lovely small town it is. And so many of the townsfolk. Krista Luna has a talent for giving even the smallest of characters individuality. Such a lovely story.

This is my first Audible with narrator Gideon Frost … I have got to say, I am LOVING his performance, with his sexy Severin voice. Michelle Price turns out a nice performance of Hannah, as well. I am quite partial to Mr. Frost, for sure. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mr. Light Grey Shadow Daddy

A low angst, fated mates, cozy romantasy with a morally light grey shadow daddy.

I loved this first dive in Ferndale Falls. Seeing some of my favourite human witches from Alarria have cameos really tied the two realms and series together. This book is low angst and the FMC is written in such a way that her discovery of her magic retains the new and fresh feeling, like the reader is also discovering it for the first time too. There is cute peripheral dialogue and the world building is good. There is enough adversarial action in the book to balance the cuteness.
There are lots of furry friends. Both protagonists were side characters in the Moon Blade series, and the MMC was one of the antagonists in that series. If you want his full backstory, I recommend that you read the Moon Blade series - it has many similar themes. The MMC in Ferndale Falls presents as morally grey at first because of his background but we do get to see the "soft for her" trope.

The narrators did an excellent job with this book as well. I particularly enjoyed Michelle Price in this but Gideon Frost was good as well.

Overall this book is for you if you want something a bit lighter with lots of spice sprinkled in.

Such a fun and spicy story!

God. A shadow daddy, vibrating extra bits, cinnamon roll dirty talking MMC AND a sassy pet companion?! What more could you want? Knotting? Fated mates? don’t worry it’s all here!

I feel like there are certain authors who are just the absolute best in their genres and when I tell you Krista Luna is the QUEEN of spicy fantasy? She knocks it out of the park. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I can not waittttt for more of this series! She’s introduced several side characters and all seem so relatable and heart warming.

The world building? *chefs kiss* 💋 if you haven’t read her series Brides of the Moon Blade Clan, you’re missing out as it is the start of this world coming together of rather collaborating but great news this reads BEAUTIFULLY as a standalone and just mentions some of the past FMCs we’ve grown to love!
