He's a gorgeous trickster Fae, and he holds the key to the only thing I've ever wanted—what could go wrong?

Joining the elite jewelry enchanter's guild is all I've ever wanted...but nothing I create sparkles enough for them. After my latest rejection, I'm starting to think I'll never be good enough, no matter how perfectly I enchant an emerald. Without their approval or a coven, though, my business is sure to go under.

Then Caelan, a handsome Unseelie fae of the worst sort, shows up in my cozy small town, full of more charm than anyone I've ever met. When a group of dwarves start telling tale of rare gems in a nearby cave, though, I know exactly what I have to do: convince Caelan to use his Unseelie magic to lead me to the sapphires before the dwarves can get them. Enchanting a dragon sapphire is guaranteed to prove I'm good enough for the guild.

I bind Caelan to me with a complicated spell. Sure, it's a bit unorthodox, and maybe slightly unethical—but it's not supposed to make me fall for him.

The spell is definitely not supposed to make him fall in love with me...or call me his mate. But how can I tell where the spell ends and we begin?

Contains mature themes.

So sad that such a wonderful story got ruined by a narrator. it does make it very hard to listen to. January Bell is one of my favorite writers she is very talented and does not disappoint with this story. it's funny,, entertaining and very sevy. it keeps you entertained and has wonderful humor. I very much enjoyed the story line and characters, the world building is fantastic. I will read it again and again. would defenetly buy again if narrated by someone with more talent. Male narrator does a good job but you might still find it difficult to listen to.

I loved the story,, terrible female narrator

Caelen: “I’m truly looking forward to seeing what you have in mind for your newly bound fae (I motioned to myself), at night, and just as it’s getting cold out, you sly minx.”

When the series moniker says it’s Cozy romantasy, I think of the Cozy Genre, known for closed door sex and being F bomb free. This was decidedly not a Cozy romantasy; this was, however, cozy in the sense of being low in angst, light on plot, instantaneous for chemistry and sunny, exuberant, and surprisingly mouthy (not to mention dirty) in the open door bedroom scenes. Frankly, I think I’d have preferred a true cozy with more humor and mystery involving the larger cast.

Also, only the fated mates storyline stands alone; there’s a fae mystery which spans the series, doling out one or two breadcrumbs of plot in each book. I’m content having gotten 1-3 together on sale, but the combo of cute and kinky didn’t quite work for me.

That’s cozy with a small C- not the genre

This story was beyond cute! January Bell’s characters and dialogue never fail to make me laugh and keep me engaged. This is a perfect cozy read to kick off fall :) My only critique is sometimes the voice actors’ accents would blend a little between characters, but I really loved the FMC actor’s voice. So excited to listen to book 2 and dive deeper into Wild Oak Woods!

Cute & Cozy Romance, Perfect for October!
