New characters and world building but still classic sauce of these two inspired co-creators!

Intense combo of sass, spice, fierce enemy to lover slow burn. Good recipe for keeping intrigue

Great first book in a trilogy!

Great story of arranged marriage, which is a hard trope to find written well. Interesting magical constructs and rules and animals. Awesome narration!

Great Story, Hoping for More in the Sequel

Captivating story overall, though the ending was somewhat predictable. The male narrator was a bit cringey for me, but thankfully he only handled a few chapters. I really enjoyed the female narrator and wish she had read the entire book. While I usually love duet narration, this one would’ve been stronger with her solo performance. I also enjoy this author’s work and am definitely looking forward to book two.

Brought the story to life

The female narration was awesome - she really encapsulated Everly. I read the book when it first came out, and it was great. But the audio is what really brought it to life for me.

Juvenile main character and annoying narrator.

I’ve previously listened to all the titles by these authors and enjoyed them . I found the dialogue of the main character of this novel tedious and immature. The male narrator who has an amazing range chose an overly deep “ romance novel “ voice which contradicted the other narrator and came off creepy. I will not continue the series.
