A brutal Frost King. A bastard fae bride. A bond neither of them wanted.

Everly Elarion never asked to be chosen. A bastard with a dangerous lineage, she's spent her life surviving in the shadows of powerful men. Now, she's being forced to marry one.

Draven Ashwynter, the Frostgrave King, rules the Winter Court with an iron will and a heart carved from ice. Just when the kingdom teeters on the edge of ruin, the Court's Visionary comes forth with a solution: the king's fated mate has been found.

He's meant to receive a match to his power. An equal. Instead, he gets Everly. She's illegitimate, defiant, and the last woman who would ever kneel to a king.

She doesn't trust him. He doesn't want her. But fate never asked their permission.

As enemies close in and old magics stir beneath the ice, their cold alliance begins to thaw into something far more dangerous than desire. Because in a court ruled by frost and blood, love isn't just a weakness.

It's a weapon.

And when war comes for the court, it may not be the kingdom that shatters first.

Fated to the Frost King is a slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers romantasy, perfect for fans of Shield of Sparrows, Carissa Broadbent, and Sarah J. Maas. Contains mature content. A complete list of content warnings can be found on the author's website.

Intense combo of sass, spice, fierce enemy to lover slow burn. Good recipe for keeping intrigue

New characters and world building but still classic sauce of these two inspired co-creators!

Great story of arranged marriage, which is a hard trope to find written well. Interesting magical constructs and rules and animals. Awesome narration!

Great first book in a trilogy!

Captivating story overall, though the ending was somewhat predictable. The male narrator was a bit cringey for me, but thankfully he only handled a few chapters. I really enjoyed the female narrator and wish she had read the entire book. While I usually love duet narration, this one would’ve been stronger with her solo performance. I also enjoy this author’s work and am definitely looking forward to book two.

Great Story, Hoping for More in the Sequel

The female narration was awesome - she really encapsulated Everly. I read the book when it first came out, and it was great. But the audio is what really brought it to life for me.

Brought the story to life

I’ve previously listened to all the titles by these authors and enjoyed them . I found the dialogue of the main character of this novel tedious and immature. The male narrator who has an amazing range chose an overly deep “ romance novel “ voice which contradicted the other narrator and came off creepy. I will not continue the series.

Juvenile main character and annoying narrator.
