Stripped of power. Fuelled by vengeance.
She lost everything because of his lie. Now the only way to save what remains is to win a tournament designed to destroy her.
When Prince Kyor twisted the truth about his mother’s death, Rose paid the price. Her family was stripped of their magic, cast into the slums, and left to wither in a world that once revered them. Now her parents are gone, and her younger sister’s life hangs in the balance.
Rose’s only hope is the Tournament of the Gifting—a brutal competition where the victor earns a blessing from Etta, the goddess of life. The catch? Every other contender wields the very power she was robbed of.
And Kyor is among them. He doesn’t just want to win. He wants her dead.
Thrown into a world of magic, monsters, and merciless trials, Rose must fight not only for survival but for the chance to reclaim her future. Along the way, she’ll find unlikely allies, betrayals that cut deep, and a connection with her greatest enemy that could ruin her—or remake her.
This enthralling romantic fantasy is perfect for fans of enemies-to-lovers, found family, and heroines who rise from ruin. This is a tale of heartbreak, vengeance, and the kind of power that can’t be stolen.

Personal opinion when it comes to audiobooks…NOTHING compared to Duet or full cast duet narration when you want your audience to gain the most value from your story. So thank you for choosing this narration style. If you don’t know what that means, it’s when the male narrator reads ONLY male voices and parts and the female narrator reads ONLY female voices and parts. This is the narration style of this audiobook. Makes it feel more conversational and real
Dual narration is when the male narrator will read BOTH male and female voices and the female narrator will read BOTH female and male parts. This feels more like one person reading a few chapters of the story out loud to you and then passing the book to someone else to read a few chapters out loud to you.
I can’t wait to continue reading this series on audio. Both narrators are FANTASTIC.
Slowish burn for spice 🌶️🌶️
Duet (not dual) narration perfection! Games & Trials

The story itself was wonderful!! it was a roller coaster of emotions and I personally can't wait for the second book!
Narration was 10/10 utilizing a woman to do all tje female voice and the man to do all the male voices. I wish more books utilized its narrators like this. They brought unique voices to every character without messing up like so many do when trying to achieve this.
The spice was ok just a little ridiculous when it came to size. which combined with the editing is the only reason I removed a star.
Still well worth reading and recommending.
perfectly narrated and great story!
