I have two things going for me in life; music and my best friend.

My world is black and white because it has to be. I need control to keep myself from spinning. Order helps me stay calm.

The only turbulence in my life is my bandmate and best friend. He is madness and chaos, but somehow he’s also my refuge.

I never expected to crave him with such intensity, and now I fear my desires will shatter the only stability I’ve ever known.

I was not expecting to feel the emotions. I felt while reading this book and experienced the pain of these characters and this is definitely not an easy book to read if you’re not used to this type of thing, but it’s a gorgeous book in general the writing, the love the build up the characters and how they truly are best friends, but they’re the type of best friends that truly loved each other from the very beginning and it shows in their love their language how they describe each other and what’s so beautiful about them is that they love each other and show those feelings and be able to open up and all the right moments Where the drug abuse anything like that that was dark that happened was overcome in the right ways

This book truly doesn’t show the darkness but the light in it

I’ve been wanting to read this for some time and I finally found the perfect time! This was a short, Mila spice, emotional, best friends (MM) to lovers story. It was a quick read (I wish it was a bit longer) but I felt it was written nicely and didn’t leave open ended problems. The audio made it even better IMO. JF Harding as Marley and Teddy Hamilton as Iggy were perfections!!! I can’t wait to read the others in this series! 😮‍💨🎸🤤🎹 🫶🏼

Chemistry at its finest

This was my first Mila Crawford book, and I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to dive in. I grabbed Grave Dissonance when it first released but finally picked it up once the audiobook came out; narrated by Teddy Hamilton and J.F. Harding, and wow, what a good choice.

Marley and Iggy’s story pulled me right in. Best friends for nearly a decade, bandmates with this simmering, unspoken tension that’s been building for years. It all finally comes to a head here, and it’s every bit as intense and messy and beautiful as you’d hope. Their dynamic had that perfect mix of chaos and comfort, and I loved watching them give in to what’s always been between them.

Even though it’s a quicker read/listen, nothing about it feels rushed. There’s plenty of steam, but the emotional beats land too, and the narrators really brought it to life in a way that made the story even more gripping. Definitely glad I finally gave this one the attention it deserves.

Marley & Iggy’s chemistry is electric
