Really enjoying this series

This installment focuses on her dragon-shifter mate. The previous book ended with the FMC sacrificing herself to his family in order to keep her other mates safe—or so she believed. He is then welcomed back into his family and positioned once again as the dragon heir, though, as expected, it’s not at all what he imagined.

Unfortunately, this has been my least favorite book in the series so far. I kept waiting for the FMC to take some form of action—to resist, to fight back in small ways, or to begin working toward her goal of taking down her father—but that moment never truly came. Instead, she takes a backseat to the MMC and endures abuse without resistance for the majority of the book.

It was difficult to read as she continued to suffer until she finally reached a breaking point and wanted to leave. The strength and agency that made her compelling in earlier books felt largely absent here. It was as though she took all the abuse without any outcome to further her goals.

The next book will focus on her final mate, and I’m really hoping it brings the series back on track—returning the FMC to the strong-willed, powerful character she was meant to be. I want to see her reclaim her power, protect her mates, and finally get the revenge she deserves.

I thought I had read all the good romantasy series with slow burn, enemies to lovers, with real yearning but I hadn’t!! I am so happy I came across this series. I can’t wait for the last book to come out on audio. 10000/10

The writing and vouce acting is so good that I could actually feel disgust and hatred for certain characters while listening. Bravo!

Dear lordy! There were times that it moved a little slow and repetitive, but the story itself was amazing! I absolutely loved that Xander groveled so much in this and showed how much he truly changed in this book. Though Aurelia was a little annoying at times and it felt like she was masking her feelings by being stubborn and trying to act tough. The ending has me riled up and irritated that I can’t go straight into the next book. It was so good!! Also ghoul is not my favorite and I kind of hope he doesn’t get a second chance because he’s truly the worse person to her. I absolutely love this series and I’m not ready for it to end!
