I stumbled upon the Ice Planet Barbarians series through another blogger and TikTok I had to get. What did I just read? Was that for real? Did we really just land on Not Hoth and mate with blue aliens?

I was captured from the first page. Georgie and many other human women are abducted from Earth. The aliens that took them treat them like cattle and their fate, well it doesn't sound like it will be good, but along the way the ship crashes and they must survive on a frozen planet and come into contact with the natives, blue 7ft tall, horned aliens.👽

We get Gerogie and Vektal’s perspectives. It made it interesting to learn about both, the world, and what it’s like to be different and alone. I liked the language barrier, it made things difficult, but they worked through it until it got sorted out. This book was sweet, funny and sexy. Although the experience the heroine has gone through is pretty traumatic, this book was still light and fun to read

I loved the references or comparisons to Star Wars. the characters we meet are interesting and unique in their own way. I had a few laughs at some of the things one of the girls said to help lighten the mood in a bad situation. I can’t wait for each human women to have their own story.

I enjoyed hearing the characters come alive. The book also had one of my favorite features, male and female narrators. Although there were times where Georgie’s accent disappeared, it was still a good listen. I highly recommend this audio book.

I'll admit, I'm shocked I enjoyed this book so much. It read to me as a fantastic romcom, if that wasn't the way, I apologize. Georgie was cracking me up the whole time and Vektal was a big ol teddy bear. I'm diving into the rest of this series ASAP!

The title sounds cheesy but the books are really good! I can't put them down! I enjoy that every book follows a different couple, it keeps my interest and keeps me from burning out. Usually I can ony listen to/read 2 or 3 books max of one series then have to switch it up. But with the Ice Planet Barbarians series, I'm already familiar with the culture and happenings, but getting to know new characters or at least see things from their perspective. I'm absolutely in love.

I love this storyline and how they kept it strong.
These women were kidnapped by bad aliens and then get abandoned on another planet. Leaving them to survive in a hash land nearly kills them all.
One of the gals goes off on her own to find resources. What she does find is her in a trap. Waking up to find herself a new friend alien who is vary kind. They go off on an adventure to get to know each other. Which is difficult when she don’t speak the native language.

My review is….this book rocks. I love the strong storyline and how it keeps up throughout the book.
I love listening to the adventures the two main characters go through. So much shit keeps happening and they keep true to the characters.
The main characters were well done. The female is an earth woman and knows what she wants. She is not dumb and think she can handle the wild on her own. She plays her cards good.
The male character is an alien who is a good man. He finds an earth woman to be he’s mate. But he treasures her for the differences rather than judge. He listens to her, and well he’s like what every man should act like.
They don’t go much into their back stories. Some information is revealed but next to nothing. Which to tell you the truth. I did not notice till the end and did not effect anything. Author played the characters so well, felt like you knew the well with information you had.

So what’s this book have? Adventures, bad ass storyline, drama, action, romance, good steamy bits, and there is a trigger in first 10 min. Talks about rape. Nothing major described But also does not happen again. So if that scares you. Just skip past it cause it’s short bit.

Female reader was amazing, she played both characters greatly. I love the sassy tone to her voice when reading some voices. The male reader was great at reading the male characters. Some issues with the female bits. Came off a little odd like she’s slower than others. Or radio breaking voice. Hard to explain I guess. I was thinking he was doing it cause they did not understand each other. Like a language thing.
But the parts were small, so it did make a big deal. I just noticed it and did not bother me enough to care to stop.

I highly suggest you listen or read this book. It is amazing. The author did a bad ass job and I’m happy. This is my first book from her so really hoping it keep up. The readers also played well to the store. Able to pull you in and keep you hooked.
