I devoured this audiobook faster than Enna could eat a school of sweetfish. The voice actors really brought this book to life. I love the world building that the author created, this is a unique and brilliant story. This was captivating from start to finish.

I was fortunate to read an early copy last year of this book and absolutely loved it!! This dark fantasy romance had me invested in the story from the very beginning. I just couldn't put it down and ended up staying up all night to finish.

We have deadly sirens, a blood oath of service, morally grey female, he falls first, vocal magic, no fae – no humans, all merfolk! She’s a killer in disquise. He’s determined to make her his queen.

One of my favorite quotes: They’re like midnight and morning; opposite, compliments that would not exist if not for the other.

This author has a way with words. Her writing and storytelling are exceptional! I am so excited for the next book in the series which I have also read and it is amazing as well! Check out Of Rime and Ruin today!

Spicy mermaids, death goddesses, and magical bargains! This story has it all! I received an e-ARC of this book but hearing it come alive in audio was a whole new level! I cannot wait to read, or listen to, book 2!!

Did I get anything I was suppose to get done today? No. But I did binge this book so I feel like that was an adequate enough reason to not doing anything else. If you are looking for the perfect Little Mermaid retelling where the fmc is very stabby/murderous pick this one. Even if you weren't looking for that...pick this one.
