Even though her flaming red hair haunts his dreams, he needs her for information on the undine's enemies.

So he steals her. Keeps her. Feeds her. Only to realize their bond is far deeper than captor and captive. He cannot let her go but he cannot keep her under the sea, either. In a battle to determine if love can survive a war beneath the waves, it will be their decision that changes the tides.

I had already read and loved this story (this book is ABSOLUTELY worth your time), so this is my second go round with it, and WOW. So incredibly well done. Carmen breaths life into Mira- bringing snark and warmth in equal measure. Will is a gift to audiobook listeners everywhere and his take on Arges is mysterious and endearing. Both of them have this *ease* with which the deliver this story that shines even in the spicier bits of the novel. I typically don't go for audiobooks for this reason, the narrators seem to know they're reading a romance novel and put on these fake, breathy voices. That is not the case here- no forced voices or contrived sexiness. It is an honest read of this novel done beautifully and more books (romances especially) should be read this way. I cannot praise them enough.

Wow! Just wow!

I must admit as an avid reader I have never really cared for “fantasy” books ..they were never my cup of tea but this book was recommended so I gave it a chance and boy oh boy! It did not disappoint! I finished the book in one day and I have already purchased the second book in the series! It’s just a really good book lol

I feel like it dragged on a bit too long and the characters were one dimensional.

I’m so glad I finally read this book! It’s been on my tbr for months. This was a great story of love and adventure- fantasy romance with a sci fi elements. The relationship is well developed, the writing is very good, and the spice was spicing. This is a paranormal/monster romance, just fyi.
