A filthy proposition. Too much money to say no. One dirty night in a stranger's bed.

While my husband watches.

It should've been a dream. A new life on the coast, running a beautiful country hotel with my husband. It should have been everything I'd ever wanted. Worth every scrap of investment. A hotel business we'd sunken every single penny we owned into, only to find out there was a big chain rival opening just a stone's throw away.

Slowly, day by day, the dream became a nightmare. Bills. So many bills. Sleepless nights, tossing and turning. No way out in sight.

Until there was him. The man at the bar. The man with a proposition we should never have considered in a thousand years . . .

Me. Him. One long night where I'm subject to his every fantasy. While my husband watches.

Contains mature themes.

I really wanted to get through this book. The plot was intriguing to me (although it did seem to drag a bit) but I couldn’t listen to the narrators anymore. The voices did not fit the characters in my opinion. It seemed like the writing tried to portray Thomas as sort of mysterious and hunky but the narrator made him sound totally opposite of that. Like in no way would Grace be attractive. And the female narrator sounded much to old, it was like listening to the a grandmother talk about smut. It felt very awkward. Unfortunately I had to dnf because of the narrators.

Good storyline but couldn’t handle the narrators

This book is spicy! I like Jade West, her books follow through on the plot of the story but contain all the smut if it’s what you are looking for. It kind of dragged out, At one point I was thinking how I can I still have 2.5 hours left at a 1.35 speed but it worked in and out nicely. Easy listen but woo spicy mama

*****SPOILER ALERT*****

'One Too Many' by Jade West. Audiobook review; KU borrow. Dual narration. Standalone. Three POV. Narrated by Dan Calley and Ashford MacNab. Both narrators did a great job. Both narrators skipped lines in the ebook. Content warnings: @n@l; indecent proposal; toys; h@ndcuffs; guided intimacy; m@sturb@tion; DP; family secrets revealed.

Location: UK

Brett Foster (32; school bully) and Grace Anne Foster (30; maiden name Whitley) just celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary. They're struggling hotel owners. Thomas Heath (29; aka Tom Browning) is a guest of their hotel, and after overhearing their financial struggles, he offers an indecent proposal: £50,000 for nine hours with Grace... Family secrets come to light about a month after their night together. By the final page, Brett and Grace's marriage is stronger than ever, their hotel is thriving, and Thomas plans to marry Polly Piper.

I enjoyed 75% of the story, but Thomas's cruelty to Grace was confusing and unwarranted. He should've left her out of his plot for revenge, but realistically, she would've been a casualty either way. In the end, I feel sad after reading this story. I don't know how I wanted it to play out, but I'm glad that Brett and Grace stayed together and Thomas didn't break them. JP

5 out of 5 on my spice scale.

The story was good, easy to follow and kept me interested. The spicy is spicing and deserves 4 stars itself. The narrator’s are what I struggled with. The story paints the characters as young and the narrators sounded like they were in their 50’s or 60’s. It bothered me that it sounded like my nanny reading to me and it’s was hard to get into the spicy. Other than that it was good.

Story is good. Spicy is heavy! Hard to Listen too

One Too Many by Jade West is like jumping into the deep end of the dirty pool—and loving every scandalous second. Brett and Grace’s marriage is already sinking when Thomas Heath, the devil with a six-pack and a score to settle, offers £50,000 for one wild night with Grace—while Brett gets a front-row seat. What starts as a raunchy deal spirals into a fiery love triangle with more twists than a soap opera. Thomas may think he’s Mr. Steal Your Girl, but Brett doesn’t just step up—he practically runs a victory lap in both love and the bedroom. Grace, caught between two men and a million emotions, gets her fantasies fulfilled and her heart tested. But here’s the kicker: this isn’t just about sex—it's about reclaiming intimacy and proving love is stronger than a hot, revenge-obsessed stranger. With jaw-dropping twists and an epilogue that’ll hit you right in the feels, this book is all heat, heart, and sass. Trust me, it’s kink with a side of redemption—and it’s delicious.
