This story is full of darkness but it also explores the idea that evil isn’t always as it seems. Charlotte has escaped so much and where she lands seems to be a contradiction. This story is very original and not my usual pick so I was surprised about how much I liked the story. Despite the darkness there is an unexpected light. #CMCon25

. It’s a super-hot, erotic and dark romance with a bit of BDSM thrown in. I have to say that this isn’t my normal cup of tea but I think it was a well written and imaginative story. What really made it shine for me, however, was the fact that I listened to the audiobook; the wonderful performances by the two talented voice actors kept me glued to my earbuds from start to finish. As far as I know, this is the first time I’ve listened to both Isabelle Turner and Ethan Reid. Isabelle did a better job with male voices than Ethan did with female ones but it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the story.

This is book one of a series and while things seem pretty settled, romance wise, for Lucifer and Charlotte, it does end on a cliffhanger. It will be interesting to see where the next book takes the story.

This book surprised me in a good way. It had good plot and the tension was great. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.

Did a month of unlimited kindle and couldn’t find much I wanted to listen to but gave this a try. It’s not a genre I’m really into but I was pleasantly surprised and was very into the book.
The author did a fabulous job bringing the story together. I was so impressed I researched her and will definitely look for more of her work.

Dark romantasy. Present tense, alternating POV. Erotica elements including BDSM.
New York City is run by Lucifer and the seven deadly sins. Brothels, elite bars where sex and temptation are the only part of the menu, and sin is the name of the game. The media and paparazzi follow the power players for the salacious news stories. It is not a playground for the innocent.
Yet, NY is exactly where Charlotte goes to escape her religious and restrictive past. She gets an assistant PR job where she ends up working directly for Lucifer, who cannot resist her. He can’t see her sins and it’s driving him mad. If he can’t see any of her sins, he’s going to make sure he gives her a few she will never forget. The PR job turned fake relationship turned play room kink drives both Charlotte and Lucifer to the unknown.
