So much depth and lessons in this and all of her books. LOL, I didn't even notice the narrator as she draws me into her characters so quickly. The pearl of wisdom in this book is relationships and communication, as well as being able to see the struggles that gender issue poses for people that we love.
If I ever feel that the story is a little lacking, I always go back and listen to it again and I realize it was more about my mood and possibly unresolved issues I , vs the Beautiful stories that she weaves . This book gives us insight as to the mistakes there are in assumptions we make that really turn out to be the gifts that relationships bring to us by learning how to communicate better and see both sides of the issues at hand.
Her books are always so rich in the way she builds her characters and gives us empathy Towards all of the little special quirks that we all have. So grateful I found this author a few years ago. She is in my number 1 spot of favorite authors, and I just can't get enough of her it seems like these days. I spend many of my days and nights listening.
She also has opened my world to historical fiction, and what a gift that truly is to enrich our lives with different lands, cultures And the realities of struggles we all go through over the centuries for power and humanities w mistakes that are made over, and over, and over again. I am obviously a patron and will always be so grateful for her putting a few of her books in the plus catalog or on sale, so I could find her and continue to read hopefully all of her works ❤️

I just listened to this book for the third time since I purchased it. I love the romance and mystery of this book. Sometimes a story line just touches your heart and this one did that for me. The narration is so well done. This comment may be a little strange but as someone born in the eighties I appreciated how Sandra had an answering machine and cordless phone!

one of my favorite of all time, story and narration

Not much story, too much love making. Characters not developed well. Not the story I expected from the author

Let Down

Wonderful story but I tried twice to tolerate the tedious, monotone narration, and finally gave up.

TERRIBLE narration.
