The story line was quite interesting. Details about dress in post revolutionary France interesting. Very Interesting history of Swiss neutrality. Did not care for extended description of intimate moments between the loving protagonists

Origins if St Bernard dog Breed

I liked the adventure, raw emotion, human doubt and triumph. The characters all had growth weaving a beautiful tale.

I enjoyed listening to this book so much! I definitely feel like it’s going to be one of the ones to listen to over again. I love the narrator! She was exceptional with her voices and accents and different voices for different characters. I knew who was speaking based on the tone of her voice. She was such a delight to listen to!

Now onto the book.. I don’t generally write reviews but this book melted my heart in such a great way. I love that the author is so knowledgeable amour history. You can tell she has done her homework when it comes to her books. I read another book of hers taking place on a small island in Washington state, and I actually grew up on that island! So knowing the history myself, I was astonished to hear how much of the history she had to look up as well. You can tell she puts a lot of love and time into her novels.

This book was a pure joy to read. I was falling in love with the characters as they were falling in love with each other. I loved watching each character grow throughout the book. The villain was a real slimeball and it took me a minute before I figured out it was him!

Anyways, this was a great book and I’m sad it’s over, haha. Before I forget though…. Barry! ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰

Best listened to book in a long time!
