Following Speak & Stutter, this book HITS just the same. The INSANE spice (6/5 🌶️), the plot, the dirty talk, the character development, and the sneak peaks of our fave Quad, make this a book you do not want to miss. And the performance?? Joe Arden the MAN YOU ARE. HE MADE THIS BOOK COME TO LIFE, as he always does. I was absolutely hooked and eating up all of his chapters. He just sucks you in and his narration of the spicy scenes are 10/10.

I need everything Ruby writes to be in audio. I am DYING for the second book following that cliffhanger. Phew now I need to go listen again.

This is one of the best audiobooks I’ve listened to this year. It’s entertaining and addictive. The suspense, tropes, plot, character development, spice… this book has it all. If I could rate higher than a five-star, I would! I cannot recommend this audio enough. There were times I literally could not stop listening.

Narrators Amy Hall and Joe Arden went above and beyond with this one. All the YES’s for these two! Next level performances.

This was so good. I devoured this audiobook in two days and couldn't stop listening. Sabrina changed after something bad happened to her. It's something she hasn't been able to face for some time now. But when her father owes the Devil Of New York his soul she becomes a bargaining chip. She has to have an arranged marriage with Maksim, a criminal underground leader.

I loved the characters. They were flawed, brutally honest and felt so real. Sabrina became a shell of the person she used to be. She became closed off and hid herself from everyone. I loved her character growth in this one. She became stronger, braver and confident in herself. The guys were amazing! Loved Maksim and Parker. They were both loyal, obsessed and possessive over Sabrina. I loved how overprotective they were of her too. I loved seeing their dynamic together. Given their situation it was unique.

As for the audiobook narration, it's phenomenal! Performed in duet by Amy Hall and Joe Arden. Amy conveyed Sabrina with so much realness she exuded her disdain and need for Maksim and Parker. Joe conveyed Maksim with a deep tone that was serious and emotional. He conveyed Parker with a Southern accent. He exuded his charm and quick wit. Joe also conveyed both of their alpha dominance. The duet narration definitely added more of an emotional connection between the characters and the story.

its perfect. perfection. I loved this book when I read it months ago and love it even more now. ruby is a master at her craft. the way I fell for Parker and maks.

Amy absolutely smashed our FMC and I could feel all her emotions. her accent was ON POINT. she did such an amazing job

and...theres joe. what cant he do? (the answers nothing). the way he brought maks and parker to life was exactly what I pictured in my head. this was so much more than an audiobook. it felt so real and gosh did I love every second of it

I listened to the audiobook version of this story and I am so pleasantly surprised. This is my first read by Ruby Darling and I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. I love a good why choose and the blurb caught my attention so I dove in, and I am so glad I did. I felt for Sabrina from the very beginning. Made to marry a man she does not love, dealing with the trauma of the horrible even she survived. There was a moment where Maksim described seeing Sabrina screaming underwater while in the bathtub and my heart broke for her. I had a bit of a hard time warming up to Maksim because he was such a jerk to her in the beginning. I'm not bully romance kind of girl, but he worked so hard to be better for her, to love her and to give her everything she needed, including Parker, that I kinda fell for him too. Parker was pure delicious sweetness and I couldn't get enough of him. The chemistry between these three was magic, and the relationship development was phenomenal. The spice was so freaking good, I think it was some of the best I've read in a MFM story. Even though there was so much spice, the story itself was so interesting, emotional, suspenseful. There was lots of conflict both individually and collectively, which made this story so much more interesting. The narration by Joe Arden and Amy Hall was masterful. I loved every second of it, including that darn cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next installment.
