The Wolf's Wounded Omega is the second book in the Grizzley Ridge series. This book is about Danny and Knox and is told from both of their points of view.

Danny is an Omega and has been hurt by his past relationship, and it ended badly. He is still reeling when he meets Knox. A new Alpha Wolf shifter who shows up in town and realizes they are mated.

Knox will do anything to keep Danny and his clan safe when a rogue wolf pack comes to threaten them. He knows he has a lot of work with Danny, which is hard for him when he is used to getting what he wants, when he wants it.

I loved getting to know these two characters. Seeing how they helped each other grow through their past traumas. Will they get their happy ending? Can Danny learn to trust Knox? I'm excited to continue on in this series.

Oh this was good! Learning to trust again and oh was he ever so kind and patient with him. Listening to brought out all of the emotions and you can feel the hurt and the love between them!

I went right into listening to book 2 in this series once it released at the end of March and I was not disappointed! I knew Knox had to hard work to do and you can guess his mate would be Danny based on his scenting him on the guys and Milo. I felt for him but I think he did a great job groveling and proving to Danny and the rest of his family and community he was in it for the long haul and was worth the redemption if they could open up their hearts to him.

I loved Danny in book 1, he brought a ton of laughter and snark as the younger brother ragging on Everett. In this one we get to learn more about Danny's troubled past, how Ev fits in (and how he was with Milo with overprotectiveness). We learn more about Knox's past and how he tries to balance Danny's needs and wants, but when he is threatened he can't let him get hurt and stays as far away as he can but still protect him. I loved we got more info on the shifters and more time in their forms. I enjoyed their runs and plays with the bear and wolves, and the steam in this one was veeeeery good haha. I liked it was a slower-burn than the other book just because of his trauma. I appreciated all he communication between them as they got closer. The courting was adorable and seeing Danny speak up for Knox when the community kept ousting him was finally a nice touch.

I liked more from the community in this one. We see one of their own be kidnapped but Knox's keen sense of smell saves the day and he pushes to help out law enforcement and get answers to all the mysteries going on. I liked that he didnt play in the back seat for too long, that once Danny accepted him the others fell in line real fast. I thought this one felt more fleshed out with the storyline, character development, and steam/romance, and I overall connected with it more than book 1, which is why I gave it a 4.5 stars (rounded up).

Narration was great on this one. I laughed, smirked, snorted, was shocked, got angry, wanted to throw my phone across the room, and swooned so hard with these two. I also thought the ending was so good with keeping us on the edge of our seats and introducing the next couple in this paranormal romance. I know those two will have an even harder time after the bear's mate enduring some trauma but I am intrigued to see how they find each other. I loved the narration in this one from the side characters as well. A lot of great inflections and intonations to get the family and community right.

I enjoyed listening to this book. Danny is an omega that has been hurt so he has issues trusting and getting close to Knox, his alpha mate. I loved how patient Knox was with Danny even while questioning if he was enough. They have both been through so much, so it was great watching both grow. Definitely recommend this book.
