Corvin king - swoon

I liked this book - great narrators and interesting story line (albeit far fetched at times- but not in a terrible way). I was rooting for both characters all while swooning over Corvin Kings voice.

Forbidden & Spicy Bully Romance

This was my first Mila Kane book back in August 2023 and I haven’t stopped reading her since! To hear Cade and Lily’s story in audio form was amazing (and a great excuse to reread this book!).

AUDIO THOUGHTS 💭
🎧 I loved this book the first time I read it and to listen to our characters come to life in duet audio form? 👩‍🍳💋
🎧 The female narrator’s voice (Celia Stone) made our FMC sound like the young, high school age she was. She was the perfect Lily!
🎧 The male narrator (Corvin King) had this wonderfully growly voice that is exactly what I envisioned for Cade.

ORIGINAL THOUGHTS 💭
🏒 Holllllly forbidden, fearful, lascivious words. 🥵🥵🥵 I absolutely could not put this book down.
🏒 Cade is the dangerous hockey player from the wrong side of the tracks; Lily is the uptight, straight-A student and Coach's daughter. We love a bad boy/good girl mashup!
🏒 The pull our characters have towards each other? Absolutely explosive in a spicy and dislike-filled way.
🏒 Speaking of spice… This book brings the spice {my goodness, the spice} and hockey players and overbearing parents and bad boys and bullying {the oddly hot kind?} and retribution and horrifying backstories and so, so much more.
🏒 What an amazing start to this series and I can’t wait for more of our ice gods!

Bully Lite-But Scorching

I didn’t know what to expect going into this book. I have not read or listened to anything by Mila Kane before this one. From some of the reviews, I was definitely expecting LORDS level bullying but really it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting more Royal Elite tone which was enjoyable for me to listen to and binge.
The author has really given both Kaden and Lily fleshed out and deep characterizations. The story is extremely believable and also felt authentic like I was dropped into the world observing it all. I like that she built the relationship slowly with so much yearning while dropping little hints of the darkness of Kade’s background so that it was mysterious, and yet part of his impetus for how he behaved. The voice work is fantastic. The female narrator nailed the various different feminine voices so that the listener always knew who was talking. Corvin does sensual scenes with his signature deep intonation and drawing out the need imbuing the moment with intensity... and heat.
This was a really fun listen, and I listened to it on a 13 hour flight so it was a total binge. I never got bored or wanted to stop to watch in flight content. I cannot wait to see what happens with the next book.

Loved the Story!!!

Loved the story, I read this book, one my favorites, but listening to it in audio duet was so much better. The narrators were great. Please keep them coming. Can’t wait for the rest!!!

Awwwwww sweeeet

Loved this book so much it’s so sweeeeet and finally a mf who got what he deserved… a push off the cliff! I kinda wanna hear the art teacher n her man’s story now! lol
