That’s the thing about hearts - like waves, they break too.

Grief.

Full disclosure, I’m a HUGE fan of this author and having already read the book, I figured I knew going into this audiobook what I was in for. I can fully admit, I was wrong. Reading Cannon and Easton is one thing, but hearing their voices brought to life by the AH-MAZING narrators, is a whole different experience friends! This story is not one for the faint of hearts as it will pull every heart string you’ve got…to the point of feeling like you’re trying to keep your own head above water. It’s beautifully written and exquisitely brought to life by two of my fav narrators Michael Dean & Zachary Johnson. They completely embodied Cannon and Easton bringing all of their angst, grief, emotions and love to life. Definitely expect to ride this emotional wave with these boys while listening to this gem but just know, the ride is SO worth it!! These boys will live in your head rent free for a long time after you finish! Can’t recommend it enough!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Couldn't put down!!

Wow, Loved! I have to start with the narrators they were the best!! They nailed all the emotions and there was a lot of emotions. I couldn't stop listening and reading, I would read a chapter and then listen to it because it was just so good! My eyes still hurt from all the crying but I'm smiling now after the great HEA!!

I already loved this book. I've read it twice before. When I heard it was going to audio , I was so excited I couldn't wait to listen to narrator's bring the book to life. They didn't disappoint. When listening to the book I knew it was a sad sorry but I didn't cry until I heard it. I had to tell myself over and over don't cry don't cry.
The story is beautifully written and just a beautiful sad heart breaking story that tears your heart into pieces but also fixes it at the same time. I'm hoping for the author to bring her other books to audio. Please CE Ricci!!!
The only thing was I wasn't a big fan of was the the narrator who voiced Eastons. It seems so robotic at so points, but he still did a great job.

grief shown raw and beautiful

This book makes you feel the grief and pain and emotions of these two men so vividly you truly feel you are experiencing the same exact emotions. the raw emotion is perfection in the best worst possible way. This is one of those books that will not leave you any time soon. Cannon & Eastons journey is not easy to find happiness but is worth every heart breaking moment for the connection they share and the love they are capable of if they just accept and embrace it.
Micheal Dean & Zachary Johnson do a spectacular performance that takes you in the story and make you want to feel every single emotion.

POWERFUL narration!!! HIGHLY recommend in audio!

WOW, WOW, WOW! One of the absolute best performed narrations I have ever listened to! Zachary Johnson and Michael Dean took an already emotional storyline and flawlessly performed it! This is already an emotional storyline BUT their voices had so much passion, sorrow, sadness and depth that made it such a powerful narration! I could just feel the words of the book radiating to my core with how they delivered the words on the pages. I’m not a huge crier for books but I sobbed multiple times because I could just feel the pain in their voices as if they were truly the character themselves. I will never stop recommending this audio because this is a performance that deserves all the praise!!! A freaking masterpiece!

It’s an MM romance between Cannon and Easton who have been stepbrothers since they were kids. Their journey to love is one that is filled with heartbreak, pain, sadness, and sorrow but also so much passion! The emotion in this book is so palpable and will have you feeling all the strong feelings right along with them! It will take you on quite a rollercoaster ride with the perfect amount of slow burn and angst that just builds up so well until the spice just explodes! While it is super spicy, the emotion within that spice is so powerful and creates incredibly passionate and deep moments between Cannon and Easton! The writing was so well done that all of it flowed throughout the story so realistically! Also, I have to mention the deep comparison with grief and water throughout the whole entire book was absolutely stunning writing! Cannot rave enough about this book!
