Totally Pucked, Book 1

I can’t tell if we’re fighting…or flirting?

Being traded to the Seattle Vipers has left me with mixed feelings. On the one hand, they’re my team, the team I’ve loved and supported since I was a kid, but on the other hand, he’s here. Him. Ant Decker. Infamous NHL bad boy. Right wing to my left. A man who’s made it his sole purpose in life to be better than me.

Well, the joke’s on him, because I’m faster, and my stats are better than his.

Not that I’m competing with him. Of course not. I wouldn’t stoop to his level.

He’s the most infuriating person I’ve ever met. A dark, chaotic presence that distracts me.

When we’re not coming to blows on the ice, he tries to provoke me by calling me Princess. And Pretty Boy...and Babygirl.

I hate it. Obviously, I do. It makes me so angry I can hardly see straight.

So why does my body react as if I like it?

Robbie and Ant 4Ever!!!!

I guest read this as an ebook, so I already loved the story. The audiobook was great. The narrators really brought Robbie and Ant and all of their shenanigans to life. This is a fun MM Romance. Enemies to Lovers. Grumpy Sunshine. And the sluttiest socks known to man.

Aunt Decker

Why is it every time they say "Ant Decker" - my vision of a sweet lady making sweet tea on a hot summer day wearing house shoes and curlers in her hair come to mind? Surely they could stop saying both first and last names so we just hear "Ant" or :Decker...at the start of the chapters reading "Ant Decker". It's just a visual I can't get out of my head.

Ant and Robbie

I’ve been slowly trying to get into audiobooks by listening to books I’ve already read. This time around I listened to Poetry on Ice by Jesse H. Reign and I absolutely loved it! I think the narrators really captured the essence/vibe of our two main characters. Ant’s voice was more deep and gravely and matched his grumpy personality. And Robbie’s voice was more light and charming like his golden retriever self. (If that makes sense) Basically, what I’m trying to say is that both narrators did a great job of bringing Ant and Robbie to life! As for the story itself, I enjoyed that too. It was a fun, low angst read with some of my favorite tropes. Enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and grumpy sunshine is a near perfect combination in my eyes. Plus the spice was so good. I can’t wait to read book 2 in the series!

I swoon - “What’s wrong with your chest?” I ask, even though a quiet voice in my head warns me not to. “Feels like I have a big hole in my chest. Like there was something there before, keeping me together, that isn’t there now. I feel…undone. Like my heart is open.” With that, he throws an arm around me and burrows his face into the space between my neck and shoulder. “Will that go back to normal too?” “Yeah,” I say, letting my arm snake around.

The way Ant calls him princess and baby girl GAG ME CHOKE ME BEBE. I loved the pinning it was the perfect hot golden retriever grumpy hot asshole love story. It was sweet passionate and it had depth, it wasn't just smut and hockey they had beautiful story that developed pretty fast, but at the same time intentional.

The way princess baby boi asked for Anty to fuck him gave me chills. I would 10/10 recommend and cannot wait for the second
