DRAMA. HOCKEY. ROMANCE. BATTLES ON AND OFF THE ICE.

“I thought this was going to be the story about how I lost Jack, but it’s not. It’s the story about how I found my way to you.”

Rhett

I’ve made the biggest mistake of my life and I can only hope it’s not too late for me to redeem myself. All my future plans included building a life with Jack, but now he’s playing house with some second-rate hockey coach he thinks he’s in love with.

I want him back, and when my father’s misguided effort backfires, the perfect solution skates right into my life.

Logan

When no one cared about me, my half-brother, Mercy, took me in, loving me as if we’d been siblings all our lives instead of just a couple of short weeks. He’s sunshine. I want to stay close to him, but I know it’s only a matter of time before I become a stain on his perfect life.

Speaking of sunshine, it would be a lot better for me if a certain ray of sunshine, Jack Leslie, were out of the picture. When the hockey God himself, Rhett, makes me a proposition, I know I can’t refuse, even if it means I’m going to hell for it.

Ice Dance Hockey is a fake boyfriend book, with lots of catastrophes, some angst, and much hijinks.

We get to peek in on the lives of Jack and Mercy as Rhett and Logan stumble their way into a love they never knew could exist.

Oh, and of course, it contains the caretaking dynamic Mock (S. Legend and Canadian) is known best for.

This book took you for a ride. I was so against Rhett in the beginning and it took a long time for me to come around to him. I almost thought it wasn’t going to happen but he wormed his way in by the end. I enjoyed his and Logan’s story and how it unfolded. I also loved that we got so much more of Jack and Merc.

"I thought this was going to be the story about how I lost Jack, but it's not. It's the story about how I found my way to you."

♡This book starts where Heartbreak Hockey left off. Rhett our OTT MMC is still obsessing over the man he lost & will do just about anything to get him back! Little does Rhett know but fate has a funny way of bringing soul mates together & neither one of these MMCs saw this relationship coming!

The duet narration for this audiobook was fantastic! Ty & Walker brought this story to life & captured every emotion between our MCs perfectly!

I loved how book 1 continued straight into book 2 and we still get to see a ton of Jack & Merc in this book as well. If you love MM hockey romances, banter that will have you crying because you laughed so hard, and a found family trope like no other you found it!♡

I went into this absolutely HATING Rhett and not liking Logan, but I was pleasantly surprised at their developments through the book. This series has so much going on all the time, but it’s fun. I listened on audio and both narrators were completely new to me: Ryan Lee Dunlap and Walker Williams. Both were incredible and made their characters sound so conniving in the beginning. Thanks Blue Nose Audio for my copy!

I didn’t know if I was going to enjoy this one as it was to break up Jack and Mercy but I’m so glad I was wrong. This was absolutely adorable, enjoyed every minute of it. Rhett and Logan are perfect for each other; Logan with his attitude and epic brat behavior is what Rhett needed to realize Jack is not who he was meant for. And Rhett is exactly what Logan needed outside of Mercy. Gah I absolutely adore Rhett…he’s my favorite ☺️

I read this book as an audible and as always it was AWESOME! I haven’t listened to Walker Williams and Ryan Lee Dunlap duet before and I absolutely loved it! It was perfect, the narrators played the MMCs to perfection. Rhett’s voice is exactly how I pictured it. Soft but firm with a side of deep that just glides over your skin. Jack’s voice is what I was expecting for a 19 year old.

I absolutely adore Rhett

Book 2 of the series and while there is a lot of crossover, you can read this one first. My recommendation for best impact, please read in sequence.

I started this book not liking Rhett. He was arrogant and selfish and wanted to break up Jack and Mercy so he could have Jack back (even though he didn't really deserve Jack based their history in book 1). But that changed over time as he became soft for Logan and it brought out a caretaker vibe that I loved.

Logan was like a hissing kitten. Wanting so hard to belong and feel welcomed, wanted, loved but not knowing how to accept those things. Seeing his trust build with Rhett, seeing him become vulnerable with the whole family clan and confiding in Jack, it was so rewarding. He really did flourish and find his own strength of self.

I absolutely love found family as a trope and both the family aspect for Mercy's clan as well as Jack's teammates. It makes me all warm and fuzzy.

The audiobook was performed in duet by Ryan Lee Dunlap and Walker Williams. Ryan did a great job as wounded prickly Logan. The way he made me feel all his false bravado, his desperation and his lonely longing, it was made all the sweeter by the joy of acceptance and peace at the end. Walker's deep tone was alarmingly good at giving arrogant and pompous in the beginning. He made me fall for Rhett as he opened up, became self aware and genuinely cared for Logan. I could hear the growth.

I requested and was provided with an advanced copy of the audiobook. These are my honest opinions.
