The title sounds nice, but the responsibilities are punishing. Perry must develop and protect a domain in the hostile north. His grasp on magic leaves much to be desired, but with the help of a loyal servant and his half-sister, a tempestuous Storm mage, he has a fighting chance.

But his most potent superpower is his experience from Earth—and his mindset as a mechanic.

Stuffed

The story is stuffed. Everything you can think of is in the story. Family scars (from both lives), build up of power, city/territory building, multiple types of magic, numerous creatures and sentient races, and several paths to power (mages, knights, bonds, and more). Don't forget the use of grimores and development of unique spells. The story has much more to it as well. It was good first installment. As for not giving 5 stars across the board, I thought the book ended to soon for the amount of elements introduced, as well as being little unimpressed with the MC.

A favorite this year

After a slew of dissapointments, this was a surprising gem. One that when finished made me want to see if it had more unpublished online.

A bit of a slow burn at fast with last 6 hours being the meat of the premise but still a good read and setup.
Here is hoping the next one doesn't take to long to get out.

Exciting

I am very glad there is a new series coming. I like the territory management and slice of life feel of the story. I shall be waiting patiently impatiently for the next book.

Cool isekai

I enjoyed who this story utilized the MC’s previous life experience to help him in his new life. The mechanic background was pretty novel too. The magic system was cool. It had a cultivation feel to it that made it feel original. I enjoyed the story. The narrator did a great job telling that story.
