Great story!

Great story line and characters. Absolutely loved that the language was not vulgar, cussing is not necessary for a great book. Sweet love story :)

Cute but a lot of squabbling

The story is cute but 5 hours of the girl and guy snapping the back and forth was a lot. No hints towards a plot. In hour 6 the reason for the their history was revealed. Wasn’t really worth the wait but the twist at the end was clever.

HR Would Absolutely Hate These Two

Professional Boundaries by Jennifer Peel is the kind of clean romance that reminds you just how fun the genre can be when the chemistry actually works. Kelli and Ian’s history gives the story plenty of emotional weight, but what really makes the book shine is the nonstop witty banter and the hilarious tension between them. There were several moments that genuinely made me laugh out loud, especially during their workplace clashes where neither one is willing to back down. The romance feels sweet and believable without relying on anything overly explicit, which makes it an easy, cozy read for fans of clean contemporary romance.

The only reason this lands at a 4/5 instead of a perfect score is because some parts felt a little predictable, but honestly, the charm of the characters carries the story effortlessly. Kelli is easy to root for, Ian is frustrating in all the right romance-hero ways, and together they create the kind of sparks that keep you turning pages. If you enjoy second-chance romances, office rivalry, sharp humor, and plenty of heart without sacrificing the clean-romance vibe, this one is definitely worth picking up.

Could be triggering

I have listened to numerous Jennifer Peel books and have always enjoyed them. However, this one just made me mad. The storyline was triggering for some old baggage that I thought I had unpacked. I had to stop listening several times because I was more mad than the main character. Somewhere around chapter 4 she gets ambushed and I couldn't believe she didn't walk out. This book and Trouble in Loveland are just not realistic. I did listen to the end and our romantic interest was just not remorseful enough. Sorry Jennifer I don't think I like this one.

cute second chance workplace romance

this was a very cute read. I enjoyed it very much. good narrator. had me laughing out loud.
