Book #2 Serial Killers Book Club series

Bunny is best friends with Dove the babydoll killer and she is also a serial unaliver. Surviving an abusive marriage she is now strong, independant, and fiesty! I love Bunny and Dove so much. Bunny has this on/off relationship with the detective that is actively trying to take down The babydoll killer and the Siren killer. Hunter has been in love with Bunny since the first time they meet years ago when she was his contact on a case. It was love at first lap dance and he refuses to give up on making Bunny his.

Bunny has a past and it holds her back. She doesn't want to get hurt again by giving her heart, mind, body, and soul to a man. Though she knows Hunter is nothing liker her husband she can't get let her walls down.

Overall, this was such a good book. Dare I say I liked it even more than Dolls & Daggers... The story is interesting and keeps you entertained the entire time. The narrators are perfect picks to play these characters. D.L. Darby has giving us a book that has humor, strong female MC's, spice, and an HEA! Can't wait for book 3!

After loving the audiobook for Dolls and Daggers, I could not wait for this one and it did not disappoint.
This was dark, gritty, emotional, and a little unhinged in the best way. A vigilante FMC taking out abusive men? I was hooked immediately.
And Hunter… sir. The obsession? The tension? The fact that he knows everything and still wants her? I ate that up.
The narration really brought this story to life, especially the intensity between Bunny and Hunter. You could feel the push and pull, the trauma, the need… all of it.
It just kept escalating and I could not stop listening.
Honestly, chaotic, emotional, and addictive.

How fun is this series!
I did like the banter, and I loved seeing more of Dove and Ren, plus the intro of the new characters.
I have to say that in this Bunny and Hunter frustrated me a bit with the whole miscommunication and both of them being prone to anger and rash decisions… but I am genuinely excited about the third installment of this series.

🎧 The narration was top notch. Shiloh James and Gabriel Spires absolutely delivered in the emotional department. The spice was absolutely spicing, and the banter was bantering.
The duet narration truly made the difference for me, and I really hope to get the third book in audio as well, because this story just keeps getting better with spectacular narration and flawless production by Blue Nose Audio.

I really loved this book! If you are a fan of Butcher and Blackbird, I highly recommend this one! Bunny and Hunter are fantastic characters with so much love to give. I did not read book 1, but I will most definitely be going back to read it!

Shiloh James & Gabriel Spires perform this audiobook beautifully in duet narration. Shiloh and Gabriel are the perfect pairing for these characters - Shiloh brought forth all of Bunny’s sass and Gabriel was able to spotlight all of Hunter’s deep rooted feelings for Bunny.

D.L. Darby has written another fantastic killer of a story, a thrilling second-chance romance that will keep you hooked from beginning to end. This second book of her “Serial Killer Book Club” series features Bunny Jones, a member of the serial killer book club, and Hunter Remington, the man pining for her. Hunter is a detective and the lead investigator of the “Shadow Siren” serial killer case. Bunny has worked as an investigative assistant for the police, a perfect coverup for her after-work activities as a vigilante killer of men who abuse women, and how the two met. Hunter tries to snare Bunny, but coming out of an abusive relationship, she is hesitant to get involved in another serious relationship, though she was kidding herself since she wanted him too. The back-and-forth between these two was entertaining to watch, adding in more witty dialogue, banter and scenes with her bestie Dove elevates the fun too. Keeping it spoiler-free, I will only say it is best going in knowing as little as possible and enjoy the dark and twisted ride as it all unfolds. There is never a dull moment in this cleverly plotted story, a multi-layered story that has plenty of drama, angst, dark humor, some thrilling and suspenseful moments, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions, and a steamy second-chance romance. The world-building and the complexity of the characters, their development and growth are all fantastic. D.L. Darby, thank you for another amazing story and wild ride!

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing audiobook listen and production performed by the wonderfully talented Shiloh James and Gabriel Spires, who did a fantastic job voicing the characters and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. Both embodied their characters completely, captured the tension and the chemistry between them too. Shiloh James killed it as Bunny, grasping every aspect of her personality, from her wit, quirkiness to her fierceness and all in between, including her vulnerabilities. Gabriel Spires was just as fantastic and nailed it in Hunter’s role, showcasing his personality perfectly. They were fabulous performing the roles of the side/secondary characters, as well as handling all the witty back-and-forth dialogue. Setting the ideal tone for the story, their expressive performance conveyed all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. It is a pleasure to listen to these entertaining storytellers, and their captivating performance keeps you hooked to the story.
