Dear Author

I really wanted to love this book however the main female character had a split personality. She cannot be mad at him for what she did. Make it, make sense. Her reasons to be mad need to be something we understand. Maybe its because he never came back. Better yet, after he made it big she should have tried to reach out. Help us like her.
Also him being a manho was a big ick. Make him likeable. Why didn't he ever turn back? There were people that loved him and his back story didn't cover this. A few simple changes and this could be a great book.

This is the second book in the series.
This audiobook is narrated by Jaclyn Kelso and William Maddux. I haven’t heard William before but he worked well for Benji.
I loved a boy once. I let him go to chase his dreams. However, he doesn’t know I kept a piece of him with me.
They lose their virginity to each other whenever they’re younger. Benji goes off to become a superstar hockey player and she didn’t want to hold him back with a baby. Fast forward nine years… the first scene with Benji is him in bed with TWO women. SMH. Benji is back in his local hometown during the off season.. this is whenever he sees a little boy that strikingly looks like him… he gets his answers whenever Liv’s mother picks up her grandson. Benji realizes that Knox (8 years old) is his whenever he sees them at a youth hockey camp. Loved that Benji put the pieces together and figured it out quickly. Now Benji & Liv learn to co-parent, Knox. Liv is a nurse. The relationship was SO slow. It kinda got old. Liv was always icing Benji out (even though she was the one who let him leave…& she kept the kid from him) the moment Knox called Benji daddy and said ily 🫶🏻 was so cute! They moved to Connecticut with Benji. It was amazing watching Benji’s character growth.

Great Narrators but the MFC is annoying

I love series around sports romance, but the MFC was insecure, too prideful, and not honestly too worried about others to deserve the MMC. This would have been “OK” in the beginning of the story but the character never evolved. She was t held accountable for how her superiority complex made the MMC feel. While she was, “trying to do the right thing,” she was thoughtless of how her actions could eventually affect others and she stayed on that high horse all the way through the story. The story had the potential to be really awesome..but it dragged on 3/4 of the way through and then was hastily wrapped up with a bow on top with the MMC caving on everything like it was all his fault and his shortcomings. Super disappointing.
