The Christmas Trap is book #7 in The Davenports series. I have mixed emotions with this one. Loved it because the story was so good, but hated it because it is the end of this captivating series. Brody is the last unmarried Davenport, icy, and getting bored with his CEO position. Lark is an American, his new executive assistant, a lover of Christmas, and engaged to a man she hasn't seen for 3 months. Their chemistry is starting to boil when their contract marriage gives him his inheritance and lets her save face with her family. I gotta say, Lark stayed the course on getting her HEA. Brody was a hard nut to crack with expressing his true feelings, but for good reason. A great ending to the series. Now for James Hamilton's story...yum!

The duet narration was so, so good. Shane East (say no more) and Samantha Brentmoor gave us the frustration, the angst, and the spicy passion that their characters experience. LOVED their performance. 5/5 stars!! 🌟

Fun and steamy marriage of convenience romance!

I really enjoyed listening to this marriage of convenience, holiday romance. Lark is smart, and dedicated and is excited to work for successful businessman, Brody Davenport. She also loves christmas which clashes with her surly, sexy boss. Brody is looking for someone to take over his position as CEO to focus on other parts of his business. When he also needs a wife to get his inheritance, the recently single, spitfire assistant is the perfect choice. But Lark is looking for love, and Brody doesn't want anything to do with it after being hurt by love before. I loved the push-pull between Brody and Lark. The power games and banter between them was their foreplay and their chemistry was off the charts.
Shane East, and Samantha Brentmoor were fabulous as Brody and Lark. East was able to balance Brody's grumpy, bossy alpha side with his softer, thoughtful, loving side, and Brentmoor played the strong, feisty Lark with her heartbreaking vulnerabilities perfectly. Their chemistry was just as hot as they brought these characters and story to life making this emotional and sizzling story even better.

L. Steele has me hooked! I have every audio book in this series. Plus I am in love with SE voice! As he would say F******kkkk! Want a pleasant, romantic and just plain enjoyable book. You have it in this book! What a joy it was to listen to this book.

The Christmas Trap, an Audiobook by L. Steele, is the magnificent story of Brody and Lark. She is confident that she can land the job of executive assistant to CEO, Brody Davenport. When they meet….there are sparks! But, she’s engaged and he has plans. Things go awry when his grandfather gets involved…and now…everything has changed!!!

Really loved this story!!! I appreciated that Lark was smart, capable, and strong. But, she has a whimsical side too!! Brody is the grumpy, brooding boss who is all business. Such a fun, unexpectedly sweet story…with plenty of steam!!! Perfect holiday romance!!

This Audiobook was narrated by Shane East and Samantha Brentmoor. They were wonderful!!! I especially enjoyed Shane’s growly, grumpy voicing of Brody. Samantha was good as Lark.

Loved the ending of this series!!

Loved how the story brought you into love story. Was a great how Brody and Lark love was able to complete the series. They also opened up to the next series.
