I read this book when it came out, but the audiobook brought it to life. absolutely loved the narrators can’t wait for book two

Bewildered But Entertained

This is my first read by this author and I’m both bewildered and entertained! In the beginning, I was wondering if I’d made a mistake but once I got further into the story, I have to say it was enrapturing. I was annoyed by the FMC (Angel) at times, and def pissed at the MMC (Detavio) a bunch but overall, I enjoyed this read and the voice actors. I’ve heard Trei’s work quite a bit at this point, and she never disappoints in giving the character dimension, acting out the scenes and making it feel like an experience. The male voice actors did a great job too in switching it up enough to cover multiple characters. But whew chile, DO NOT listen to this audio on speaker when others are around… 🫣😂 Soooo much spice and long, steamy scenes, lol! The characters had so many layers and so much trauma and I wasn’t sure if we were talking about the dad ACTUALLY “selling his soul” to the devil or if we were speaking metaphorically, but by the end, I’m pretty sure the former was true. Jeez Louise… this author threw everything but the kitchen sink into this story. It could’ve been too much but there’s also a lot of heart and you end up rooting for these brothers to heal. Have to admit I’ve already purchased audiobook 2 😬
