A little slow in middle but really picked up and great finish. Good performance and easy listening.

Nice follow on to first book.

Narrator did a good job, writer did a great job. No complaints at all with the second book in the series! Really enjoyed it

I was interested in how this second book would go after the first book but i found it a bit slow. I was expecting more. Im a litttle disappointed by this book.

A Well enough follow up on the first book.

The series itself has been fantastic for the most part but we’re going to start doing shots for every time you used the word “gaze” and we’ll only be able to listen to a chapter or 2 before passing out!!! There are a lot of synonyms you could have used in so many spots. Glance, focus, sight, vision all come to mind off the top of my head but I actually found myself shutting it off out of anger because I’m tired of hearing about the characters “gaze”!! The story is great. Your ability to paint a picture with your words is fantastic. Just find a couple other words for “gaze”. I can’t believe the editor dint say anything to be honest.

Dude!! Find another word!!

I like the author, I've been a fan for many years. I though the first book was a bad edit, or just maybe it was the reader, but it's not. the reader has exaggerated all voices, reads them in the most pompous way, its like a 1930s idea of what a nonle would sound like. especially the main character. the dialog between characters is simplistic, not what I expect from this author. even the description of a night raid, where the enemy is 2 to 3 miles away, then they are blowing horns to wake the men? I guess sound doesn't travel in this land. this was one problem I have but it's the final one for this series. it's like he wanted to make a story for children, then teens, then finally adults but didn't care if anything made sense. last of any from this author, at least this series. this is truly aweful
