Waited a long time for this one to hit the shelves, but it was worth the wait. Characters well drawn, story interesting and engaging. Enough suspense to keep me coming back for more! Classic Joe Pike. Classic Elvis Cole, classic damsel in distress.
Read this book! You won’t regret it.

As always the latest Joe Pike/Elvis Cole book was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend any book written by Robert Crais. The narration was first rate as well.

Outstanding book to listen too!

Joe Pike front and center as the main character with Elvis Cole sliding in to be backup makes for an amazing and entertaining read in the Elvis/Joe series! If ever a girl was in trouble, these are the guys that she would want standing beside her! The author does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life with well developed personalities that stay true to their character not only throughout the book, but the entire series! I actually enjoyed this one on audiobook and must say that the reader does an outstanding job of bringing the characters and their unique personalities to life. The only issue I have is that I have finished the book and now must wait for the next installment in the series to be written!

Complex mystery

Loved the modern take on “Perils of Pauline”.
Pike’s quiet guardian angel is true to his character. Elvis’ humor comes when you really need a break in the tension.
