A rising star in Christian fiction, Karen Witemeyer brilliantly blends humor and romance in this compelling debut novel.

Texas liveryman Jericho “J.T.” Tucker wants nothing to do with the town’s new dressmaker, Hannah Richardson. He’s all too familiar with her kind - shallow, more devoted to fashion than true beauty. Except for her well-tailored clothing, however, she’s not at all what he expected. Although J.T.’s assumptions and gruff manner rile Hannah, she finds her heart strangely stirred by him - and by his unexpected acts of kindness.

As a citizen of Texas, the characters in this novel resemble people I know and respect. So I enjoyed this story of faith, courage, and love.
The narrator was wonderful too. Once I began listening, I could not stop. The author includes both drama and laughter.
Loved it!!

I especially enjoyed watching the main characters search the Bible for answers to life’s questions. Not preachy, but truly Christians searching how to live life following Christ.

Sweet and Uplifting

This story was delightful! I have had it on my shelves for years and I have read almost every other book by Karen Witemeyer and loved them. However, I just never got around to this one. I'm so glad that I did now, because it was a charming story with a sweet romance and beautiful faith thread. I actually ended up listening to the audio book and enjoyed the narrator very much.
