The spicy parts are quite spicy and leave a vivid picture

Awesome Sequel

When it comes to a sequel, I am personally looking for everything that made the last book worth it and then some. In my opinion that is this book. I don't want to risk spoiling anything and to be perfectly honest my opinion hasn't really changed since book 1. As such I'm going to go ahead and put my book 1 review below with some minor edits primarily for anybody who's just come across this series and is thinking of buying in. Lastly, I'll just say well done to everybody who had a hand in bringing this story to us, the Audible listeners.

Book 1 Review (Edited)

The author appears to have been writing for a few years by now, but I would still consider her an independent author. On her Amazon page she says that she's writing more down to earth type characters. That she doesn't do the damsels in distress or the alpha males. That she's trying to do relationships with an emphasis on trust, respect, open communications, and both parties getting what they want out of sexual encounters. The book is heavy on the sex scenes. To me there appears to be a sliding scale when it comes to books and that element of the story. On one side books don't even have romance in them and on the extreme other side it's clear that the book was only written for the sex scene. This book is closer to the center but weighted towards the sex scene Side. There is no fade to black and the scenes are hot and spicy. If that's not your cup of tea, then you're not going to like this book and should move along. There is plenty of “story,” which I have enjoyed. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world with extreme weather that has led to humanity struggling to survive. As is the case with most of these post-apocalyptic stories the element that puts them in that situation acts as an amplification for humanity. By that I mean that if they were good people before then they're amazing people after going above and beyond or the reverse where they may have been jagoffs before and now they're trading women. Our main character wakes up in a wreck half frozen to death after somebody jumped in front of his vehicle on the highway. It appears to have been intentional considering that when he woke up, he had been robbed of everything including the vital food and weaponry he carried. He comes across a young woman who looks as though she's simply laying down to die. She's cold to the touch but not gone yet. She managed to escape some slavers who hadn't yet had a chance to break in their new trade. After both of them get a chance to warm up the lady offers a trade. There's not much entertainment in this new wasteland and as such it's been a long time. She decides to offer our main character sex for safety and a trip to the closest human outpost. Moving on to the narration team. These are among my all-time favorite narrators. I first came across Gabriel Michael in “Skulduggery.” I have greatly enjoyed Katana Jones’ performance in the “Other World Academy.” As far as I'm concerned, the team's performance is phenomenal no matter what story they're performing, and I cannot recommend them enough.

I liked this even more than the first one. It’ll be interesting to see how this third one starts

Good Story Continuation

This book has progressed nicely along the storyline. Now that the MC and his group have arrived at their destination and found it in turmoil it will be interesting to see where the story progresses. Im excited for book 3 of this series.

The narration by Gabriel Michael and Katana Jones was really good.
