Going to a supernatural dating mixer was supposed to be harmless. Instead, I got table-flipped by a six-foot-seven bear shifter and accidentally mated for life.

Let me explain.

My best friend forced me to attend a ROAR Dating Agency mixer. "You need to get out more," he said. "It'll be fun," he said. He conveniently left out the part where I'd meet the grumpiest, most gorgeous Alpha in Pine Ridge—and he'd completely lose his mind the second he caught my scent.

One panic-induced table flip later (his fault, not mine), I'm drenched in punch, covered in wildflowers, and going into my first heat. Because apparently I'm a dormant Omega, and Greyson Kane is my fated mate.

Did I mention we'd known each other for approximately two hours?

Now I'm attached to a mountain man in his remote cabin, sporting his claiming bite, and bonded for life. My rational brain says this is insane. My body? My body is very enthusiastically on board.

But here's the thing about accidentally mating an Alpha—his clan has opinions. His ex-council member wants me gone. And I'm pretty sure navigating shifter politics while stealing my mate's flannel shirts wasn't covered in the ROAR handbook.

Good thing Greyson's absolutely gone for me. And I might be falling for him too.

Even if he did destroy an entire table on our first meeting.

It focused on the story instead of the sex, which I thought was great.

The store was great however, the AI voice was awful, no emotion and it was too quick moving to each section.

Basic Omegaverse

If you're looking for a basic OV sappy story, this will do it. Very lovey dovey. Story is sweet and if you like sappy OV stories, it ticks the boxes.

I really liked that every other chapter was from the point of view of the other. It was refreshing to have it written that way, though confusing at times. It worked though.

The writing has repetition and the digital AI voice is awful at catching words and pronunciation. I spent too much time giggling at the virtual voice instead of enjoying the story. For a sappy OV, that's not too long, it just fits as a 4*. If I could do 3.5, that would be more accurate. This would mostly be due to the repetitive wording.

Virtual Voice Strikes Again

The story itself is not so bad. It is a little hard to get into because of VV. The worst part of this is that the quality check was not done. After they fed the book into VV the next step would logically be to listen to it at least once to make sure there are no big errors. Spoiler alert, they skipped that step.

My 1st MM story

The story kept me captivated being my first MM fantasy book. I have this great need as a gay man for reaffirming my desires for monogamy. This book helped it greatly.

Quick listen

This was a fun quick listen, It was virtual voice but one of the better ones I have heard, I think if it's a male voice it's easier to take than the female voices. The story itself was sweet and steamy.
