It starts with a class in an old movie theater.

I love Stephanie Garber’s writing! The worlds she is able to craft feel so magical and whimsical. Her books, including this one, have the ability to transport you into them. The twists in this book were so good and unexpected, you knew there would be twists but then they would play out in a totally unexpected way. I feel like we are set up for another one and I will be anxiously waiting!

This was such an amazing book! I didn’t want it to end. A must listen for sure!

Edge of your seat adventure!

The way the book is written is like a whole series in one book. It doesn’t give away its secrets but gives you hints along the way!

Ideal for 15-18 yr Olds

I think a YA audience will love this book and rate it 4-5 stars. However in my opinion this is too basic for over 18 therefore my lowered rating. I do a little bit of research on a book looking for a YA label, but I keep it minor to avoid spoilers which are rampant in reviews. I also look at the cover for clues as to whether a book is for a YA audience or a mature audience. IMO the cover implies more mature and less YA. So without spoilers, if YA isn’t your thing, IMO you will be disappointed in the writing quality and style. The characters are good. I liked the FMC. The plot is confusing. I won’t continue the series, but I really encourage YA readers to give this book a chance.
