"Love has no limits."
Reeling from her loss, Kacey Dawson is grieving and heartbroken, her addictive demons hauling her back into the alcohol-soaked abyss she worked so hard to crawl out of. Kacey teeters on the edge of oblivion, and must fight her way through the pain, to build a new life for herself with her music, and somehow fulfill the promise she made to Jonah...one she feels is impossible to keep. Theo Fletcher has a secret burning in his heart, one that he holds close, while he struggles to keep strong for his family that is falling apart. His mother's health is fragile and his father's disapproval is breaking him down. Theo is afraid if he follows his heart, he'll fail, and not just himself, but his brother who believed in him when no one else did. Drawn together by their pain, Theo and Kacey slowly build a friendship, reforge old ties, help each other to heal, and give one another the courage to reach for their dreams. Together, from the depths of grief and guilt, they learn to laugh again, to trust again, and quite possibly find something beautiful and lasting amid the shattered pieces of their broken hearts.

Please do not read this review if you have not read the first book in this duet, Full Tilt, because spoilers for book one are unavoidable.
Emma Scott officially made me a fan with this duet. Her writing is emotional, beautiful, and the kind that pulls you completely into the characters’ pain, healing, and love stories. While this one was not quite as emotionally devastating for me as Full Tilt (and I did love Full Tilt a little more), this book was still incredibly powerful. It traded some of the heartbreak for healing, hope, and learning how to live again after unimaginable loss.
Theo absolutely stole my heart. He was carrying so much grief after losing Jonah, while also trying to stay strong for everyone else around him. Watching him hold everything together while quietly hurting himself was heartbreaking. He was selfless, loyal, and impossible not to love. Seeing Theo and Kacey slowly find their way back to happiness was such a beautiful journey. Their connection felt raw, honest, and built through shared pain and understanding. Watching them learn how to love each other while also learning how to move forward with life was so special.
This was such a beautiful and meaningful conclusion to this duet. Emotional, healing, and full of heart. Emma Scott gave these characters the ending they deserved, and I loved every minute of it
