"MASTERFUL" –Kirkus Reviews

A compelling and timely thriller

Really enjoyed the writing style and the grittiness of the world. I thought the chemistry between Hondo and Magnolia was sweet. Felt like a second chance romance at times but wrapped up in a thriller. The story gets quite dark at times so it’s not for the light of heart but it’s well written and well read.

The twist

This was excellent, each character was set up and then they brought everything together. It wasn't what I expected, I thought we were headed in one direction and then I was so surprised. There were a lot of sad parts but unfortunately it's life and looking at all the ugly comes with that.

I absolutely cannot wait until the next book comes to audio, I'm glad I get this duo from the beginning.

Not My Type Of Book....BUT...

OMGoodness! I was so pulled into this book, I felt like I was right there with Hondo. You won't regret reading this book.

Can’t finish

I don’t enjoy the reader, or the story. I am 2 hours in and have to quit.
