Amazing Historical Romance

I truly love the writings of Bertrice Small. Her writings combine not only historical relevance but the savageness and romance of the times.

The romanticization of piracy, court intrigue and the lives surrounding those of the Tudor Court, leaves this reader appreciative of what those before us have had to endure.

I first Read these books in the early '80s and still find pleasure in them today.

Phenomenal

I gave 5 stars as it's worth the read, I first read this series over 30 years ago on paperback and was delighted when I found the Audible books.. Beatrice is one of my favorite authors and to me this series was one of her best.
Drama and the intrigue that was in the English courts, the power that the queens both wheeled against their subjects, especially Skye.. Skye's passion for her husband's are off the charts, my only disappointment is that Skye and Niall storyline wasn't in depth, as he being her first love that their story wasn't as told as all the other's was heartbreaking..

Love Skye with all of my heart!

I cannot get enough of Skye’s passion and Adam’s Smokey blue eyes and as they climatically climb heights and I eat their days along with meat pasties and capon…..I am fed with damask rose scents and gleaming white thighs. Yes who doesn’t love the tempestuous beauty Skye!?
