Military contractor Dav Toron left the Legion to avoid the incompetency of its growing number of points. There’s no avoiding the chaos of his next mission.

Running protection for a House of Reason Special Aide turns into a kinetic nightmare as a corrupt local government, intergalactic rebels, and violent pirates converge to plunge a backwater edge planet into utter violence and chaos.

With his team cut off from all support, Dav falls back on his Legion training to keep those around him alive. But when he forges an alliance with a stranded Legion squad and planetary natives looking to stand up to those seeking to topple their government, an opportunity to save the small planet presents itself...if Dav and his ragged team of outnumbered and outgunned warriors can survive long enough to take it.

Best-selling author and veteran Peter Nealen teams up with Anspach and Cole and draws from his own experiences as a paramilitary contractor to deliver this thrilling tale of sacrifice, determination, and combat.

Always Legion is a stand-alone novel set in the period between Legionnaire and Galactic Outlaws.

Peter Nealan has a very specific way to write books, and it shows with his first GE book. His Wargate series was how I was introduced to him and this is a great way to flex his sci-fi creativity in an already set universe. Plus a specific Dark Ops leej shows up at the end of the story and its awesome.

Solid OotC

I sure wish Peter Nealan would bless us with more The Lost books, but him as a coauthor for GE is good enough.
After KTF 2 I was worried that there would be no more GE since the focus appears to be on Forgotten Ruin, which is also great. This book is awesome. The narrator is great and this book slips right into the GE timeline nice and snug without any conflicts. You know you’re going to buy this or use up a credit for it so go ahead and do it nothing I say is going to convince you either way Welcome back GE please don’t be a stranger.

Good to have the legion back.

Solid entry! Felt like season 1 all over again. Nostalgia. Had the old leege feel but a new story.

I liked the story as a sort of side action to pre-A19, post kublar in the GE. should have picked a better narrator. it's not that he was bad. He just didn't have a deep or gruff enough voice to pull off a legionair bucket voice or sound even remotely tough. I know not everyone can be R.C. Bray but this wasn't even close.

decent side story

While I had no doubt this would be a quality story (Hello, it's Anspach & Cole) I was initially skeptical on how much I would enjoy this new voice talent because of how he mispronounced the last name Aguilar when I listen to the preview. Alas, I was able to look past that "sin" because he did such a fabulous job with everything else.
Overall, this story was outstanding and had an ending that just made sense. Jason & Nick did it again.

Satisfying
