Intriguing story line

I enjoy this author and this book didn’t disappoint. Great listen and the story line came full circle.

A delightfully melodramatic tale

While the premise is worthy of a soap opera, and there are a few issues with the plot, the characters are so likeable, the writing witty, & the story is fully engaging - I didn't want to pause for anything.

I am very much looking forward to the next book in the series.

This was a fun listen! It held my attention from the very beginning. The narration was great.
So many twists and surprises! I loved Lizzie Poole!
James is quite a character. I hope to see more of him in another book.
I really enjoyed the "forbidden" romance and the twist at the end.
I absolutely loved Grandmama's solution to their problem.
