The first, the strongest, and surrounded by superheroines.

Everything changed when I witnessed an alien crash near my home. It carried two things: a beautiful blue-skinned woman who can fly, and an artifact capable of granting superpowers. The government got the ship, I got the girl...and the power.

Now men are mutating into monsters, and only I can stop them. Well, myself and a trio of superheroines created to counter me and my extraterrestrial roommate. I need to find that ship, because something worse is coming.

I have to play both sides now, as Apex the Superhero, and Trent Bentley the dispatcher for a super-team who doesn’t know my secret identity...

The book was great from start to finish. I enjoyed the narration team of Pond and Riley who really went all out on the voices. The story itself was paced perfectly. Neither to slow or too fast. The MC's mother was my favorite character and I was upset that the story was progressing past her scene stealing Momma advise. She is both endearing and embarrassing at the same time. I kept thinking that if someone messes with that old lady, I might have to write myself into the book to protect her (not that she really needs it). Too say that I'm eagerly awaiting book 2 is a serious understatement. I'm hoping that the mother has more moments in the next book because she is hilarious.

Another great book by A V Ray. You will not be disappointed. Also the dual narration really brings the story to life.

This was a very easy listen. The story flowed well. Not too many cheap writer tricks to add intrigue and plot twists. The narrators were excellent

Very good first book

liked the story, the only complaint is the female VA occasionally sounds a bit robotic / the conversation feels a bit unnatural. it's not super often so probably just some odd takes but it can be a bit jarring. (and no, I'm not complaining about the somewhat emotionless character in particular).

Pretty good, performance could be just a bit better.

My only complaint is how short this book is it’s amazing otherwise I couldn’t praise it enough!

A fun story
