For years, the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security issued warnings - the United States was vulnerable to a cyber-attack. It was 2017 when the attack was finally launched, coming from a direction that no one had predicted, with consequences beyond imagination.

Wyatt and his family were already on the down and out. Years fighting through a struggling economy, tight credit, and government regulations had already taken their toll. When society collapses, they have one chance left - a lifeboat awash in a sea of anarchy. There is a place of safety, a deserted island nicknamed Crusoe - but it won't be easy. The journey requires passage through a landscape decimated by riots, ravaged by desperate looters, and plagued by ruthless pirates.

Apocalypse Drift is the adventure of an everyday American family as they fight for survival in a world gone mad.

If you could sum up Apocalypse Drift in three words, what would they be?

The narration lacked a bit more personality. The tone of the narrator reminded me of the narrator from the show, "Hows it made". I loved the story though and i've heard way worse authors. So all in all this was a good book.

Felt like i was watching a "Hows it made" episode.

post apocalyptic fiction is one of my favorite genres. I have a background in economics, sailing and the military, so this one really caught my imagination. my favorite thing about Joe nobody is that he never makes a mistake in talking about specific subjects. I notice most authors make serious mistakes in their books and movies when they get into topics that I know about. for me, that really takes away from the the story. Joe doesn't do that. either he has a deep level of knowledge about a wide range of topics, or he is very very meticulous in his research.

loved it

Joe makes some really good points. Of coure all of this is fiction but I could see it happening for real with no great stretch of the imagination. Make you wonder how you would address these circumstances and if you would fair as well or worse.

This one will make you think...…….

What did you love best about Apocalypse Drift?

I found myself talking about the ideas presented in this book for several weeks after finishing it. I like the plot and character development, particularly how the characters all portray display a different angle of the overall story. The basis of the story is interesting and thought provoking.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes I found myself longing for the trip to work just so I could listen to what was happening to the characters in the story. The way the author showed how the bigger picture interacted in the daily lives of the people was very compelling!

What does Bill Worthington bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His voice was pleasent but was somewhat slow, so the speed could be increased on the ipad.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No 'moved me' moment, but it was never dull!

Any additional comments?

I would certainly give Mr Nobody another read!

Joe Nobody is a Somebody!

What did you like best about Apocalypse Drift? What did you like least?

Storyline was okay but more average than great, and the narration was monotone. I stopped listening about 13 hours into it. Not a lot of action and little to no practical use to preppers.

Would you recommend Apocalypse Drift to your friends? Why or why not?

No. Emotionless narrator and ho-hum story. I did like the methods used by the Chinese to initiate the fall of the United States, but the story lacked the punch to be a must read.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Pleasant voice but monotone and mostly emotionless

Could you see Apocalypse Drift being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Perhaps it would be better on-screen.

nothing special
