And they need to get back to the Ice Dungeon—fast. Because Kalasi’s life is hanging by a thread, and if they don’t reach the Night Market in time, she might not survive.

But with every dungeon step they take, the danger grows, and getting lost is a luxury they can’t afford. As enemies lurk in the shadows, Jay and the girls must face labyrinthine puzzles, monster-filled corridors, and Jay’s most terrifying challenge yet: trying to stay on Nova’s good side.

Because if there’s one thing worse than a dungeon on the brink of collapse, it’s a sassy, unhinged dungeon spirit with abandonment issues.

Amazing!

This book 4 is absolutely amazing and i love the narration so much. So excited for the next one!

Losing the “plot”

Let me start by saying I enjoyed the first three books. The Mad King‘s Castle was a lot of fun. I’ve never been a big fan of the MC and in this book he makes terrible emotional decisions seemingly to progress the plot compared to the main character of Demi beast husbandry Jay is immature, shortsighted, ignorant to the point of infuriating readers/listeners

His interactions and reactions with nova just really pissed me off, I really feel like he comes off hot and cold and just as bipolar as she does. And at one point while they’re in the swamp, she straight up, tells him to use the artifact and he has a fucking hissy fit, and then use the artifact anyway like it was his idea. I’ll give the next book a try but I think I’m pretty much done with this series.
