This guide to energy drinks tackles the three most common questions about these controversial products: Are they safe? Do they work? How do they work? Within this guide, you'll meet the 20 most common ingredients found in energy drinks. For each ingredient, you'll find information on a safe/effective dose, as well as helpful stories, puns, and metaphors to learn the science behind what these ingredients do. You'll also discover the key factors that make energy drinks safe or unsafe, and how unsafe products are regulated and reported.

This guide also includes the Five Levels of Fatigue - a system developed by GreenEyedGuide to help people calculate what kind of energy drink to consume based on fatigue (or when to skip caffeine and call it a day!). The Five Levels of Fatigue categorizes products using factors like juice content, caffeine content, carbonation, and delivery method to limit caffeine tolerance and dependence.

I can tell Danielle put a ton of time and research into this book! The Narrator did a good job of conveying the authors story. This book was pretty eye-popping to me, I never thought of myself as an abuser of energy drinks because I usually limit my consumption to 1 or 2 per week, however, after listening to this book, I realized how wasteful I have been as it relates to caffeine. I usually would chug my energy drinks without regard to how fast my body can metabolize caffeine. Not only was I being wasteful but I was training my body to expect several hundred milligrams of caffeine when i would consume. Although much of the book is filled with science, and WAY over my head, Danielle does a good job of laying the science out there and then summing it up with more understandable terms for the average Joe like myself. I highly recommend taking the time to either read or listen to this book, it will open your eyes to the many benefits of Caffeine as well as drawbacks.

THIS book changed the way I drink energy drinks!!
