Are you ready for the end of the world? Brace yourself for a thrilling ride as the Earth is delivered a mortal blow in BROKEN EARTH, a gripping new thriller series.
On a typical Tuesday in an average July week, all of Iceland's volcanoes erupt at once, followed by the complete destruction of the Azores Archipelago and the violent sundering of the Atlantic Ocean. Millions are dead, and the Earth is left in ruins. Is this the beginning of the end?
As calamity strikes, the best and worst of humanity is brought to the surface.
In Nebraska, former USGS geologist Ben Stone prepares for Armageddon, but his plans are shattered when the disaster overwhelms his predictions.
Max Ungle, a whistleblower who has known of the disaster's origins from the beginning, is determined to stop it at any cost, even if it means being ridiculed, ignored . . . even killed.
Ben's brother Will Stone, a retired Army Ranger, must come out of retirement to save the planet's most precious resource, the Magnetosphere, from a cataclysmic collapse.
The clock is ticking as the race to stop a diabolical plot that could end humanity forever begins. Can they do it in time, or will the Earth be destroyed forever?
If you enjoyed books like Extinction or The Day After Tomorrow, you won't want to miss BROKEN EARTH.

The author reminds us there is no resemblance to anyone, he is right. All the characters including the President are fictional.
It was hard to keep straight all the players in the story, I attribute that to the vitual voice. The voice is unable to correctly pronounce or have a way to distinguish characters with thier own voices.
Since the storyline is super far fetched, it made it easier to listen to.
no swearing!!

The U.S. President in the story is portrayed as a self-centered, narcissistic businessman with properties including a prominent tower in New York and real estate holdings in Florida. His name is President Tanner, and the characterization is widely seen as a thinly veiled, highly critical caricature of Donald Trump.
If the narrative itself wasn’t distracting enough, the audiobook experience adds another layer of chaos. Either the text is riddled with typos, or the virtual voice narrator is astonishingly bad—possibly both. Character names are a recurring minefield: Stanley becomes “Stain-ly,” Min is periodically transformed into “Minute,” and Consuela is rendered as “Console.” These mispronunciations happen so frequently that they pull the listener out of the story and make it difficult to take any scene seriously. Instead of immersing the audience, the narration turns dramatic moments into accidental parody.
Between the implausible technology, the overt ideological agenda, and the almost comically broken narration, it’s hard to tell whether the most apocalyptic element is the fictional world—or the execution of the story itself
Astonishingly bad Narration and not so subtle allusions to President Trump
