When I was young, I used to dream of finding my viramore—my soulmate—in all these crazy and amazing scenarios. But then my ex-girlfriend hired a mind-bender to mess with my memories, and well, it's no surprise that romantic notions flew out of the window for me.

I guess it's fitting that the first time I meet my viramore, he points a crossbow at my head and threatens to kill me if I don't get out of his way. Thing is, I've always liked a good challenge, and Hiro Grimbsy is nothing if not challenging. He's kind of a jerk, but I guess I'm glutton for punishment because I can't seem to stay away.

When dark forces threaten to take away everything Hiro and Basil care about, will they be able to work together or will they let anger, speculations, and fear hold them back?

Contains mature themes.

Loved it! Basil and Hiro have gone through a lot and go through a lot of healing. Our boy deserved the love! Can’t wait for the next one to drop on Audible too!❤️

Basil is a steep and steamy ride with banter, chemistry, and tension. Basil and Hiro’s enemies-to-lovers trope is satisfying in its rough edges, but found the first sexual encounter to be predatory and crossing the line on assault. That aside, Hiro spends too much of the story locked in jerk territory without enough early apology or growth, which makes parts of their romance feel harder to root for. The subplot about witches being murdered promised a darker mystery, but the investigation drags and its resolution feels rushed.
